About:

IMPEXPO 2023 ‘pitching session’ encourages entrepreneurially oriented students and innovators to present their ideas in a real-world forum, receive constructive feedback from local experts in the community.

Rules for registration :
  • Students can submit ideas individually or as a team. Ideas presented can be in any stage of development.
  • Teams may be as small as one student, and there is no maximum size.
  • Ideas submitted as part of a teams’ new business venture, must represent the
    original work of the team members.
  • You will be asked to provide the following information at the pitching
    registration desk:

a.Team or Group name (if working in a group)
b.Name and contact information for participant or primary team contact (this must include an email address and a valid phone number).

Pitch presentation guidelines

Present an idea clearly and concisely, in a five-minute “elevator” pitch format. An elevator pitch is a brief pitch, which presents your ideas in a concise, brief, and persuasive manner.

You will have 5 minutes to present your idea to a group of esteem judges and 2 minutes for questions from the judges.

The pitch presentation is a PPT should not be more than 10 slides, covering the points mentioned below.

1.Cover Slide

  • Company name and logo
  • Contact details (city, e-mail, mobile)
  • URL
  • One line that clearly describes the concept/product/service.

2.Issue or Pain Point That Your Product/Solution Addresses

  • Describe your target market, ex: age, gender, social economic status, etc.
  • Explain why your customers need your solution
  • Competitive advantage – what will your idea do better?

3.Business Model

  • Explain how you will make money, ex: samples of product, service by the hour, etc.
  • In simple terms, this is about who will pay how much and to whom for your
    product

4.Size of the Market Opportunity

  • Be clear about where and who is going to buy your product/service and how much
    would they pay for it

5.Current Traction

  • What have you achieved so far – product, customers, revenues, etc.
  • Include photographs, if possible (e.g. if you have physical stores or products
    manufactured or office pictures)
